hey it’s me, B.

My Story

Hi, I’m Bailey, but I will answer to B, Bails, or most things (haha). I have been doing photography since I was in middle school and at that point was not as skilled as I am today, but hey, art is subjective. I went to University of Minnesota and got a degree in Psych and Minor in Family Social Science. Since I was an 8th grader I planned to be a therapist. Boom. Bam. Done. I was working on my masters program while living out in Vail, when I realized life may have another path for me. I like to think I am fairly intuitive and if you know me well, you know I am down with all the woo woo spirituality business. I think this life we live has deeper meaning and I will not fail to romanticize every aspect of mine. I realized I stopped tapping into my creativity and I felt the urge to create and so I finished my classes up and unenrolled. So now what? What did I like to do when I was younger? Photography. Photography, for me, feels right. The reason I wanted to be a therapist was truly because I just LOVE people. I find us all so interesting, seriously. I love that we all have such full stories and lives filled with people and places we adore. The idea that I can document so many family, friends, and strangers turned friends makes me so excited. Capturing a moment in time may seem small but it isn’t, to me, it’s magic. (Now’s a good time to tell you i’m cheesy). It’s a chance for nostalgia, to time-travel, to feel the excitement of your wedding day, to feel the snuggle of your baby with their chubby cheeks in all their glory, to feel the hug of a loved one who is no longer with us. This is why I love this form of art.
